Northeastern University, in Boston, Massachusetts, runs an immersive faculty-led summer study abroad program called Dialogue of Civilizations. On “Dialogues,” students take two regular credit courses with Northeastern faculty, on the ground in a location or locations relevant to the courses.
In Representing Israel in Law and Literature students are first based in Jerusalem, with Prof. Lori Lefkovitz, who is teaching a class focusing on Israeli and Palestinian literature and culture. For the second half of the program, students are based in Tel Aviv, with Prof. Simon Rabinovitch, for a class focusing on Israel’s religions and the law. Students and faculty will be exploring those cities together, and travelling to the Arava Institute in the Negev Desert, Haifa, Akko, Nazareth, Umm al-Fahm, and many other spots.
This site is for the students to chronicle their experience and exhibit their work.
